International call-ups and fixtures
Both Nea Mesimvia and Souroti are “emptying” as many of our internationals – of all ages – have already left to join up with their countries’ international squads.
The Greek national team will play their last two games of their 2026 World Cup qualifying phase, from which it was unfortunately eliminated, with Giannis Konstantelias and Giannis Michailidis being called up by coach Ivan Jovanovic. Greece host Scotland on 15.11 (21:45, at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium) and will conclude their World Cup qualifying obligations with the match against Belarus on 18.11 (21:45), which will be held in Hungary. Obviously, of course, Konstantelias will not ultimately participate, given that he was injured in the match against Panathinaikos.
Andrija Zivkovic has been called up for Serbia’s World Cup qualifiers against England away on 13.11 and against Latvia at home on 16.11.
Kiril Despodov is of course in the Bulgarian national team’s squad for the away match against Turkey on 15.11 and the home match against Georgia on 18.11.
Tomasz Kedziora has also been called up for the Polish national team for the World Cup qualifiers. The Poles host the Netherlands on 14.11 and travel to Malta on 17.11.
Luka Gugesashvili is in Georgia’s squad for the home game against Spain on 15.11 and the away game against Bulgaria on 18.11.
Karel Mustma is in the Estonian squad for the away game against Norway (13.11) in World Cup qualification and the friendly game against Cyprus on 18.11.
Greece’s U-21 side will play two matches in the EURO 2025-27 qualifying group and Dimitris Monastirlis has been called up. Greece plays against Georgia on 14.11 at the “Apostolos Nikolaidis” (17:00) and against Northern Ireland on 18.11 at the Levadiakos Stadium (16:00).
Nine PAOK Academy players have been called up to the Greece U-19 squad for the 1st qualifying round of EURO U-19 (Belarus-Greece 12.11, Greece-Liechtenstein 15.11 and Greece-Turkey 18.11). Those called up are: Stathis Beleri, Dimitris Bataoula, Giorgos Kosidis, Eddie Dunga, Pavlos Tsiotas, Vassilis Eleftheriadis, Thanasis Papanikopoulos, Dimitris Berdos, and Anestis Mythou . All three matches will be played in Antalya.
Also, 14 of our players were named in the Greece U-15 provisional squad for the training sessions that took place in Thessaloniki from November 3 to 6: Giannis Chrysoulakis, Vassilis Simos, Markos Drosos, Apostolos Athanasellis, Alexandros Papageorgiou, Vassilis Skaleris, Giorgos Itskos, Christos Kakalis, Dimitris Papageorgopoulos, Fotis Solomidis, Stergios Nikolakoudis, Dimitris Floros, Grigoris Priovolos, and Christos Fardellas. However, due to injury, Drosos, Nikolakoudis, Priovolos and Athanasellis could not take part.
Lysandros Papastylianou has been called up to the Cyprus U-21 squad again for two matches of the EURO U-21 qualifiers. These matches are Cyprus-Kosovo (14.11) and San Marino-Cyprus (18.11).
Pavel Apiatsionak has been called up to the Belarus U-19 squad for the EURO U-19 qualifiers against Greece (12.11), Turkey (15.11) and Liechtenstein on 18.11.
The Cyprus U-17 coach has also called up Konstantinos Angelidis for training in Cyprus from 3 to 6 November.
It is worth noting that the Greece U-17 team, with seven PAOK Academy players in the squad, qualified for the second qualifying round of the U-17 EURO, as well as League A. They beat Georgia 2-1 in Tbilisi, while losing 4-3 to Iceland. Our seven internationals are Nikolaidis, Kalpakis, Gersos, Matera, Tsialis, Souvlatzis and Chaldezos.
