PAOK march on

PAOK are doing well. In fact, the team is doing very well and is making sure to prove it every time they go out on the pitch. In Serres Razvan Lucescu’s players produced another footballing spectacle, prevailing 5-0 over Panserraikos On Matchday 9 of the 2025-26 Stoiximan Super League to maintain their place at the summit of the standings.

PAOK lined up with several changes due to absentees, but with a clear plan and a positive mood on the pitch, and they managed to bring the game to where they wanted from very early on.

In the 4th minute Despodov crossed from the right, Karasalidis tried to block Chalov and unintentionally sent the ball into his own team’s net for 1-0 to PAOK.

Ten minutes later Ozdoev came to simplify things even more. Chalov and Konstantelias combined perfectly, the ball reached Taylor , and he crossed to find Ozdoev , who applied a clinical finish to double the advantage.

The pace of the match dropped noticeably afterwards, with PAOK players managing the game flawlessly. Especially in the defensive aspect, the visitors limited the home side to threaten only in the 44th minute, when after a lapse in defense, Maras hit the post. Michaelidis responded with an excellent diagonal shot that was cleared by Tinalini, with the score remaining unchanged up to the half-time break.

At the start of the second half, Panserraikos threatened with two headers by Gelashvili and Maras, but they did not find the target.

PAOK reacted from the 60th minute onwards, threatening with Chalov and Ivanusec , with the Croatian in the 74th minute serving up a pass to Ozdoev , who found the net for 3-0.

The matach was over at that point, but PAOK added two more goals. Initially in the 81st minute, Taison found Giakoumakis and he made it 4-0 from close range, while the epilogue was written by Bianco , who made the final score 5-0 with a wonderful shot in the 89th minute.

PAOK have now reached six consecutive victories in all competitions, continue to lead the title race, and are now preparing for the European battle with Young Boys.
