Under-15 champions prepare for their big Super League kick-off
The season also begins for the “little ones” of the Super League with the U-15 team entering the… dance of the championships last but not least. The U-15 team, the current reigning champions – to be precise, three-peat champions – start with a home game against OFI on Saturday 20.09 (17:00, LOLAS).
The championship – in a Pan-Hellenic format this season once more – involved the 14 Super League teams, will be held over 26 matches, and will follow the Super League match schedule with a home-and-away format.
This year’s U-15 side includes youngsters born in 2011. Last season, as U-14s of course, they reached the final of the MFCA U-15 championship and during the summer they participated in a series of international tournaments, culminating in winning the Universal Youth Cup in China. This was preceded by 9th place, among 36 teams, at the Mannheim Masters in Frankfurt, 4th place at the Youth International VivaCom Cup, organized by Ludogorets, and 2nd place at the Lyngby Trophy in Copenhagen (lost on penalties).#
The U-15’s of the 2025-26 season began their summer preparation on August 1st and, excluding the long trip to China, where the main stage of the team’s preparation was essentially carried out, Dimitriadis and Vasilakou’s team also played four friendly games (two of them with senior men’s teams, in fact).
Nine new players were added to this year’s U-15. Defenders Dimitrios Efstathiadis (Bempides), Theodoros Stathopoulos (PAS Arsaklis) and Konstantinos Skaleris (AS Antimachos), midfielders Stergios Nikolakoudis (Porto SKG), Christos Fardellas (Bempides), Vasilios Skaleris (AS Antimachos), Dimitris Floros (AO Anatoli, Ioannina) and forwards Theodoros Tsiligeridis (PAS Arsaklis) and Apostolos Athanasellis (Doxa Lesvos).
It is important to say that 11 youngtsers from this squad live in the Academy House. These are Eleftheriadis, Geladaris, Itsko, Solomidi, Drosos, Floros, Papageorgiou, Kakalis, Priovolos, Hika and Athanasellis.
