The first goal in the running for the award is Mady Kamara’s qualifying goal in Austria. The clock was ticking down to the 115th minute of the match. Hatsidis pushed up high, stole the ball, which rebounded and landed at the feet of the Guinean midfielder. Without hesitation, he struck an incredible effort and gave PAOK the qualification against Wolfsberger.
Another goal in the hat for the prize is Giorgos Giakoumakis. The Greek forward scored his first goal for PAOK against Rijeka at the Toumba and made sure to do it in the most impressive way. A long ball from Konstantelias was followed by a «sombrero» over the defender and then a thunderbolt from an acute angle that left the opposing goalkeeper with no chance.
Finally, the discussion could not be complete without mentioning Kiril Despodov’s matchwinner against AEL. The Bulgarian came on as a substitute at half-time, received an assist from Andrija Zivkovic and with his first touch of the ball, sent it into the back of the net with a slick finish.
