Final update of the season from the PAOK Academy tournament action
A demanding season for the PAOK Academy comes to a close at the end of June, with the trips of the Under-13s and Under-10 teams to the Netherlands and Germany, respectively. Championships, trophies, and tournaments – in other words – a full calendar for all of our teams brings the curtain down on hte 2024-25 season with the final harvest yielding many emotions and unforgettable life experiences.
Here are our team’s … results in the most recent tournaments, as well as information about the two international tournaments that remain.
In their final tournament, organized by Ludogorets in Sofia, the U-14 team came fourth, after losing 2-1 in the third-place playoff to hosts Ludogorets.
The U-13 team will go to the Netherlands on 20.06 (in Oosterhoot) for the TSC International Tournament, in which, among others, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain, and AZ Alkmaar will participate.
Within Greek borders, the U-12 team participated in the FootballMind Elite Youth Cup in Katerini, and clainched third place among 56 teams, beating Getafe 1-0 in the third-place playoff.
The U-11 team traveled to Montpellier in France for the Grinta Cup, where they were unfortunately eliminated in the semi-finals by the French side Garcia Club (1-0), just one step away from the final which would have been against Real Madrid.
The U-10 team leaves on June 20 for Hanover and the Raddatz Cup, in which, among others, Benfica, Werder, Fenerbahce, and Dynamo Kiev will participate.
Our U-9 team also went to Belgrade, to the Dragan Mance tournament, and came in fifth place among 48 teams. They were eliminated on penalties in the quarter-finals by Levski Sofia and completed the tournament with six wins and one draw.
