The Clash of Legends is coming to Toumba
On Wednesday (04.06) the Toumba Stadium opens its turnstiles to host a great friendly match for a great cause. Members of the Greece national team squad that won Euro 2004 will face a team of European football legends, with part of the proceeds going to support the Association of Parents of Children with Neoplastic Diseases of Northern Greece “The Shining”.
The 2004 Greek national team, which achieved one of the greatest football successes in the history of the sport, winning Euro 2004, come to the Toumba Stadium to face a mixed team of European football stars, among whom will be the likes of our former players Vieirinha, Berbatov, Itandje and Rat, who will have as teammates, among others, Pires, Makelele, Stoichkov, Giuly, Gallas.
The charity football match will support the “The Shining” association, which, among other things, ensures excellent medical and pediatric care for children suffering from malignant diseases, the creation, organization, staffing and equipment of specialized oncology and hematology units, moral, social and financial support for the treatment, education, training and social reintegration of children and the provision of all possible assistance, information and other forms of support to the families of suffering children.
